      Change In Connection Speed

builders managed to cut internal phone cable used this as excuse to fit dedicated socket in computer room rather than use phone extension cable from lounge which had filtered homechoice socket.

logging on to router now shows max of 7230 kbs it used to be 13520 !

testing d/load speeds on various websites has now dropped from 6.8 meg to 1.5

would changing new socket to filtered master help? also cannot now get connection from old socket in lounge

      Re: Change In Connection Speed

There has to be something wrong with the wiring I would say.

Is there anyway you can patch the phone cable that they cut so you can get back to what you had?
