Smile Am I the only lucky one?

I began reading the forums with trepidation just before setting my system up, but apart from a low connection speed (currently on Connect until transfer to Mid or Max on our new, closer exchange) I seem to have had no problems so I thought it only fair to put forward the views of a happy user.

We set the system up to my wife's laptop via the cable and then her slot-in wireless card and all was well (apart from having to change the router channel to 1 as we couldn't find a way to change the Belkin card to channel 6). Today I have fed a 30m cable up a box section and then through the loft to my computer and connected instantly. I went for the cable as it was some 35 cheaper than a PCI wireless card.

I followed Ratti3's instructions for setting up extra email addresses and other bits of advice such a unticking the PnP selection in the router - thanks to all who know these things.

As far as I can tell there is no real difference between this and my old service (1.5Mb through a line of sight antenna arrangement) with the download speed this lunchtime being 962 kbps using Speedtest.net.

So there you have it, one happy user. I am sure it will soon go horribly wrong but until then I will leave it well alone.
