Router must be switched on/off regularly

Anyone know why I have to regularly (couple of times a day) switch my Sky Router off and on to maintain a steady speed? If I leave it on for too long the speeds just keep dropping. The router is connected to the PC via ethernet.

I know it's a router problem, cos my other Router works perfectly (can't use it though, since it's wireless is broken).
