E-Mail notifications vis the router facilty.

      Hi all,

Through the router settings I ticked for the system to e-mail me if someone were to try and hack the system as it were. E-mails are working but disturbinglt workign too well. Yesterday I got 74 mails from my router is this normal if I turn this function on?

I am using the system to allow only certian MAC addresses to access the system and I have changes all SSID's, admin passwords and network keys so surely nobody is trying to access the router?

For instance this morning I checked my mail account since last night 7 mails have been recieved "Successfull mail sent" I have not sent anything and this log is sent hourly and this was recieved at 2 / 4 / 5am

Hope some one can point me in the right direction.

      Thanks all in advance.

      Mike.

Re: E-Mail notifications vis the router facilty.

You just need to change the setting on the router, untick the box that says send e-mail after every event (says something like that) I have mine set to just send the log out once a week, to do this untick the boxes where it says hourly etc. & set the day & time to send out the mail.

Don't panic about the number of blocked attempts, this is normal.
