Sky won't come up with a solution because it's not their problem. As people get home from work and start using ADSL, crosstalk goes up, SNR goes down, connection dies. Simple! Saturday has explained (twice) a technique that ensures that you connect when the SNR is at its worst effectively firing up the router to cope with the worst conditions it could possibly face.

As for the Netgear filter limiting speed, I take it that was just a rant (because it's patently untrue)?

Finally, if you have Windows, you can have the router rebooted for you automatically. Head over to the tech forum - technical discussion stickies.
