Recordings - "Software Issue" all the time.

every single timed recording is now saying "software issue". Also its difficult to play back. Impossible to fastforward/rewind and it often completely hangs the box (need to power off/on).

Downloaded are slightly better but you still get "jumps" etc.

Ensure latest software version is loaded but still the same.

      Ideas?

Sounds like the drive as gone. How old is the box?

My drive on my box plays up if it goes below half full stay above and it's fine.

This is a pertinent question. If it's old then a new box might be the answer. If it's new then get Sky to sort it out. You pay a lot of money for what, in my opinion, is poor television. The least Sky can do is sort out it's bad hardware.

Quite a few years old to be honest....

Don't really want to lose the recordings. Its a pity sky don't bother trying to transfer them over - its probably not difficult to do.
