      Low volume on recorded items.

      Anybody else or just me?
When I play back anything that I have recorded I have to turn up the volume by a huge amount more than when watching live broadcast. Not only is this annoying in itself but if any of us in the house forget to turn the volume back down before pressing the back button and returning to live broadcast the volume is now at an ear splitting, speaker busting level! Not only inconvenient if others are asleep at the time but possibly a danger to my speakers.
Am I missing something in terms of a volume setting in the record menu or similar or is this a common problem experienced by others?

Yes, my experience too. Fortunately on our TV there is an option to change the volume levels on HDMI channels individually. This has overcome it for me.

      Cheers

Iím on Sky HD, not Sky Q but no issues here although I have noticed a volume difference between channels a lot more than there used to be! Surely it canít be that difficult to equalise the volume on all channels before transmission! Quite annoying.

      Nothing to do with transmission.
      It's at the decoding end.

I may be being cynical but could this be an attempt by Sky to boost sales of their newly introduced Devialet Soundbox?

Doubtful otherwise why do it, in my case, only on recordings.
