      Sky Q Powerline adaptors

      HI ,
I'm nowhere near certain of my facts here so please bear with me if this is toaly incorrect.
I read an article somewhere about all sky Q equipment has built in powerline adaptors that are not activated.

So is it just a matter of getting into the router and Sky Q boxes to activate the powerline adaptors. I've since heard they have a bulit in booster for the internet. Although they could well be refering to the poweline feature.

Can anyone plese shed some light on this.

      Thank you

      Re: Sky Q Powerline adaptors

Powerline is, indeed, built into at least the Q Hub and Q 2TB Silver box (not sure about the mini). You can enable Powerline on the Hub by logging into it, going to Powerline and then switching it on.

I may be wrong, but I think it's on by default on the Q Silver and all other boxes - but happy to be corrected.

it is active on the 1 and 2TB as is the mini but I would advice all NOT to activate it as its causing issue.

Sky have advised at the moment not to use the Sky Q powerline feature, so best to have it turned off on your Sky Q hub, Sky Q 1tb, Sky Q 2b box and Sky Q minis.

      Re: Sky Q Powerline adaptors

Thanks eveyone for their replies.Does anyone know what the issues are that are stopping Sky from advising customers from turning on powerline ?.

When the probleam is solved what would be the expected function and limitations of the poweline feature.Would simply plugging in a mini -box in a poor signal area of the house improve internet connection?

Thaks once again for all replies
