The bluetooth remote had to go

I finally have lost my patience with the Bluetooth remote. I gave it a chance but can see no advantage in swiping the remote over the basic one. My wife usually have the basic one beside her chair and I have the Bluetooth one. The number of times I have moved the remote and the programme we had recorded suddenly went into some mode we did not want, pause, f/f , reverse you name it and it did it.

Just to enter the menu a slightly heavy swipe and the menus shot all over the place.

So I paid 25 for another basic one, far, far more user friendly, although not a perfect design in itself, it is better than the cost of a new TV or patio door by me throwing the Bluetooth remote at one of them in frustration. At least now I press the required button and I can scroll up, down, left or right. Oh the joy. It works and does everything the Bluetooth one could do, only more decisively, or for me it did anyway.

I know a couple more people with Sky Q that just use the basic remote in preference.

So old Bluetooth remote had his batteries removed and has been put in a dark drawer, it can rest in peace now, it will wonder what has happened with me no longer cursing and swearing at it.

Same here, went into the drawer after 2 days. Actually forgot it existed until you mentioned it! Lol

I gave up with mine after the 1st hour.
I must remove the batteries, glad I saw this to remind me.

      I like it.

I understand what you're saying but it is much faster when you are used to it.
