      No live TV on mini box.

      I hope somebody can come up with an answer to help fix this for me please.

      The main SkyQ Silver box is working just fine in all respects. However my mini upstairs has just started to play up. Was working fine. But today I switched it on to watch live TV. On start up from standby it was displaying the Sky intro which was a tad strange in itself. Entered a channel number to find nothing happened and that continued. So did a reset with the reset button on the back. No change. Unplugged the power cable for a good ten minutes. Plugged back in and again after resetting itself, no change.

      Looking at the settings it appears to be connected to the main box and internet. I can view and watch recordings, catch up etc but no live TV, just a blank screen. When going to home and then either 'sport' or 'TV Guide' all I see is the spinning circle and "please wait......" with no channels listed or loading. If I enter a channel number I get "Channel unavailable"

      Any suggestions gratefully received but it appears to me that I will be contacting Sky for an engineer to visit. Thanks' in advance.

      I shall answer my own question which might be of help to others.

      I contacted Sky on 03442 414 141. The answer was to do the following:
      Put mini box into standby.
      Unplug mini from the mains power.
      Go to main SkyQ Silver box:
      Put it into standby.
      Unplug from the mains power.
      Replug main box to power.
      Go to mini and replug to mains power.

      Both boxes will now re initialise and the mini will re-establish wifi connection to the main box and re-instate the programme guide.
      Did all of that and all is now back as it should be.

      Frustrating because I had power cycled the mini several times but not the main box. Apparently it is very important to power cycle the main box as well.

      Basically un-lug from the mains followed by plugging back in again. I understand that to be called a power cycle.

      Only if you lose the EPG or have another issue. Not done otherwise lol.

      My minibox stopped working with live tv after heavy overnight rain showers, a reboot of the skyq box fixed it. Always the first thing to do..

      I have had this too, twice now, Sky helped both times, although the second time, I also had to power cycle my router too
