      Synched Viewing on all screens of recorded shows.

      Currently I have Sky HD with its output being fed to three TV's around my house via coax and a TV amp, so I get the same perfectly synched images wherever I am in the house (Live or recorded). I assume with live TV this is easy with Sky Q as you just select the same channel. But can you achieve the same thing with a recorded program? i.e. Play everywhere?

      Many Thanks

      I'd say no as the idea is to have the minis and iPads operate independently of each other normally and allow a program to be passed across "fluid viewing"
      There is no option I can see to allow you to sync the playback so it would have to be by default which would then kill the whole independent viewing idea

      When I get back from vacation I might test

      For recordings, its via the MyQ menu on the device, so start playing your recording from where it left off, move to another room/device and do the the same, pick up your tablet and do the same. All devices this way are always in sync with your recordings.

      Just watch this video, shows exactly as it works and will answer your questions;

      Lettice did you test what I THINK the OP asked though ie move to another room and play the recording in synch with the recording in the main room. Your demo which is very good mentions pausing the main room first. I MAY BE WRONG but i think the OP is hoping to have a recording play in all rooms at the same time from the same point so totally in sync

      That is not my demo. No idea who that guy is in the video, but it shows how sky q would handle it.
      You have to think of the sky q devices all working independently of each other but sharing/syncing content. They do not all come down via coax as the OP uses now, so just seeing the same single stream through the house.
      Best bet if moving from room to room all the time would be to carry around a tablet. But its not hard to go to Myq on each device and hit play.

      Re: Synched Viewing on all screens of recorded shows.

      Haha, fluid viewing. Maybe I could hang a tablet on a hat or something.

      Yeah my original question was more around how I use Sky now. Currently if we're "me and wife" watching a recorded program in the lounge, and I need to got to the kitchen to "make a cup of tea\pour beer" I just have the TV on in the kitchen and its all in sync, nothing to press. What's the process with Sky Q? Pause in lounge "upset wife", walk to kitchen, shout press play and press play in kitchen also, hope sound lag between the two rooms isn't a nightmare.....etc....etc....hardly fluid.

      I'll get over it, but a play on all option, or at least an AV out on the Silver box would have helped.
