What i have with SKY costs 63 a month with VM it would be 108

They ahve ripped off and taken advantage of those not being able to have a dish or get decent BB as they have a long line inveryed nothing in prgrames just bought what they can on the cheep and sold it on at infalted prices

I be Brason did not pass on the saving from not paying SKY to his customers and i think is in for a big fall this time he thinks he is untouchable and an never lose and it is about time he got taken down a peg or two

I would consider Virgin Media if I lived in a cable enabled area.

something big is on the cards according to my VM Source.......[for VM obviously!]..... I dont know much about the tv offers, but there are some very very good internet/phone offers coming reaaaaaaaal soon, and considering the internet is not limited by ur distance to the exchange, many people may get it!!!
      maybe being announced 1st/2nd May!

Haven't VM announced that they are increasing the speed of their internet connections come this May? Not sure if it's across the board for all their packages Or just those on the XL Broadband package - could this possibly be VM's big news.

VM could definitely do some work on their pricing as the way it's currently structured/bundled it seems rather on the pricey side.

You don't think its the Virgin branded freeview box?
I still can't make up my mind whether its an April fool though.

No news on the 10 coming off Sky plus without premium channels then,
I was going to use the National trust offer to save 50 on the install?

PS Well done on the Google Search, think I'll suggest it for a popular money saving site I frequent.

Providing you live in a cabled area that is which is about 55% of the population. If you live a fair distance away from a major city then cable is pretty much unavailable. Sky on the otherhand use's BT telephone infrastructure thus covers most of the UK with exception to places like Hull. Which inturn means they can offer ADSL to almost anyone. Cable may be fine if you live in a city but Sky can cherry pick almost all the UK at will by unbundling the exchanges.

I think at the moment Sky's unbundled broadband is available to aprox 60% of exchanges (70% by July, so even then only 15% more coverage than Virgin.) A lot of these unbundled exchanges are, according to Sky, already closed to new unbundled BB orders, due to capacity. Taking this into consideration, it's probably fair to say that currently Sky's unbundled broadband is available to roughly the same number of the population as Virgin's cable BB.

I live in County Durham...look at these statistics

      Sky enabled exchanges = 8

      Virgin Cable Services = 0

Sky just don't have any competition in my area.
