Some musings on other poss. later "something big"......

      - Sky's push-VOD using the "reserved" Sky+ HDD space is gonna be on the way at some point (don't think they've mentioned a date though yet have they?)...

      - If Sky charge for their push-VOD service, then perhaps that's what'll finally see the removal of the 10 sub for what would then be "standard" Sky+?

      - I've also heard rumours about Sky planning to eventually do some sort of IPTV service, enabling a form of proper pull-VOD, over the net like HomeChoice...(VOD like that would compete with VM's VOD much better than the "Sky+VOD").

right now virgin lack good upto date content,

i agree by what people are saying virgin vod is far better

It he most desired happens, i.e. the removal of the plus sub, where do you think we will pick up yhr news first? Will a sign that something may be going on be Sky's site being down?

Re: Something big is on the cards....

I would have no interest in VOD if it was full of movies and Shows like Lost. They have to look at offering some of the best content from the likes of BBC, ITV, Ch4 etc. Then you could pull things you missed and forgot to record.

Also I really don't see the SKY+ charge being dropped in the near future anyway. I do agree that it would make sense if Sky really do want to push their VOD content to the masses because ultimately more people would be upgrading.

We have heard a few rumours about Sky offering Mobile Phones, in no way substantiated though.
