Some of these channels are not 24/7, does that mean we are getting less and less movies?

It looks like it, but lets face it some of the Movies that are on in the morning are not that great.

Not sure I am in favour of this TBH, what we have know works well so I don't see the need for any change.

taken from media 247 (Welcome to Sky Digi Online part of Media 247)

Every night will be a premiere night with the new-look Sky Movies Premiere (Sky Movies Premiere +1) services which will operate a weekly model - five new titles will premiere every Saturday and will play every night, at the same times for one week.

After that, they'll enter a month-long dark period before migrating to up to three genre channels. Films available in HD will have a simulcast premiere on HD1 or HD2. HD films are exempt from the dark period.

      Re: New Sky Movies Channels

Although I no longer subscribe to the movie channels due to the constant repeats, it would surely be a better idea to reduce the number of movie channels to around 4 so that films are given a longer period before they are re-broadcast again. In some respects it's the same on Sky One, just how many times do we need to see Star Trek The Next Gen, it's been repeating for years now?

Maybe it's time for Sky to focus on new content than technical improvements and gimmicks?

Never get tired of Star Trek

I quite like the gimmicks and technical improvements....

I also think that ongoing adjustment of channels helps keep Sky fresh for us long termers and helps newbies enjoy the experience more..
