      Re: Sky+ Subscription imminent scrapping

Sky have signed up nearly half a million customers for broadband, think about it logically.

If we assume 100k of them have never had Sky, they are now paying Sky a minimum of 15.00 (Sky and Free BB) each per month.

assume 150k of them have paid 40 connection for connect and then 17.00 per month each

The rest are on Max and paying Sky a tenner a month - that is some income. All those signed up are signed up for 12 months contract - thats a lot of dollar (in fixed monthly income) that Sky have got coming in.

Even dropping the tenner a month for Sky+ is outweighed by BB connection fees I bet. And also we are more likely to stay with Sky as we are happy we saving another tenner a month on top of what we are saving from our previous ISP - Pure genius - I bet the Marketing guys at Sky are laughing all the way to the Leeds.

it makes a basic sky package cheap and cheerfull but there is no real incentive to go for the premium channels anymore.

      Re: Sky+ Subscription imminent scrapping

I dont subscribe to any premium ones anyway, so now I could get Sky+ and Broadband for 25.00 per month cheaper than I was without Sky+ and BB before, if you get what I mean.

We used to subscribe to the full package, but to be honest the amount we watched for minimal so we chose to go to the 22.00 a month package (6 mix I think)

      Re: Sky+ Subscription imminent scrapping

so you would get sky+ for free thats good.

but where does the full subscriber save

its just i feel they should do somthing that benifits customers across the board and not at one end of the scale.

      Re: Sky+ Subscription imminent scrapping

Ahhh - Sorry not that clued up on the subscriptions for TV.

So I take it you pay for the multiroom @ 10.00 per month?

I truthfully think that Sky are scrapping this fee for Sky+ to combat / gain customers from Virgin Media, and some customers already paying this charge are going to save some more money.

I know Satdish pays 10.00 for Sky+ and 10.00 for Multiroom buts thats about my knowledge.

      Re: Sky+ Subscription imminent scrapping

      i dont have multiroom

they would be in effect taking away my free sky+ for subsciption to a premium channel, that premium channel would then in effect cost me 10 more overnight.

sky+ free When you subscribe to 2 or more Premium Channels (otherwise 10 a month)

      i will now lose that
