You should reveive a letter from them asking if you want sky+ or m&s vouchers. I'm getting sky+ on the 20th, hope the price drops away by then...

So as far as I can see the subscription wasn't dropped after all then? Guess it did seem a bit far fetched. Anyway here's hoping they do drop it one day.

      Hi

If you recommended a friend to sky before 31 dec 2006 you are offered a sky plus box after that it is the vouchers..

I did this and my friend was connected and had sky installed on the 30th dec 2006, after having to find out that you need to register to get you gift you then have to wait an eternity...well 2 months at the moment and I havnt heard a thing...

though they did tell me to hang in there as it shouldnt be too long..lol

Just joined the site and was greeted with this news-- really hope it happens.

For those without Sky+; it really is the way TV should be, I'd never go back to VCRs again.

      Re: Sky+ Subscription imminent scrapping

so if they drop the fee for sky+ and people then drop the premium channel they subscribe to to get it free, surely sky would begin to lose money. there would have to be another sweetener like multiroom with premium channels
for those who realy want the premium channels.otherwise it would be like being rewarded for buying less.

But the extra income from new customer who choose sky over virgin media will outweigh that. Makes perfect business sense to me.
