How much of the speculation is known outside interested parties and fora like this and Digital Spy? If it is more widely known, then the rate of sifgn ups to both vanilla and plus offerings could be reduced, making the effects of churn more problematic for the co. There may be ads for plus here and on forums, but as I said in an earlier post it;s low key in pubs like RT, and when I mooched in Currys recently, the whole emphasis was on HD. I could see nothing about standard or plus. Surely if Sky wanted they would be pushing it.

The thing is if you stick ordinary Sky against Sky HD on a decent screen then I know which one I would be drawn to looking at if I was out looking. The reason they are showing more and more HD in the likes of Currys, Comet, Euronics etc is purely a sales tactic. If we can get the punter looking at Sky HD maybe we can get them looking at a buying a new HD Tv also?

As I've mentioned before, CS staff will never know until it is officially announced. Where I work I am responsible for telling the Call Centre staff of changes and certain changes wont be briefed to them until the day that they go live to the public even when I know about them months in advance. This is stanard practice.

Fuuny thing also noticed! Right at front of the shop I mentioned and also a different Curry's today, is a large Ad for VM. Are Sky and Currys on cool terms?

      Re: Sky+ Subscription imminent scrapping

      Hi
I have been watching this forum for a while now, and just decided to join.

I beleive that there current 'offer' ends at the end of this month, therefore I would expect anything new to start in April, but lets hope its a better off that they currently have.

I have been holding off for the scrapping of the Sky+ subscription, so lets hope that the do drop it..

      Steve
