I am getting vouchers too - would rather have had the Sky+ box
Brother had his Sky connected last week - apparently the vouchers are the only thing on offer at the mo??

Seems to have gone all quiet on the news front.

Don't worry as soon as we hear something it will be posted.

My sister-in-law is moving shortly and can't get NTL in her new house - so have managed to get her to get on board as an Introduce a friend, however if we cannot get a free Sky+ box out of it then I'll be mighty miffed!

For the last few weeks the back cover of Radio Times has been the Sky Speak Surf for 25 Ad. Not there this week and the only Sky Ad is a low key one on a non descript inside page for Plus at current rates. Significance who knows.

.......And if you look at any DaVinci painting from a 270 degree angle during spring tides on a leap year the runes will spell out the following cryptic message:

      "Sky+ Subscription imminent scrapping"

Oh well, one day this will probably be true, I suppose it's down to ones interpreatation of "imminent"

      Re: Sky+ Subscription imminent scrapping

At the time I posted this thread, it was imminent, since its not forthcoming at the moment, who knows what is going on. I still believe somethings going to happen, just other events have taken over and probably been rethought out.

I know Newsreader, my comments were tongue in cheek, I think it's just all of us willing this to happen and our eager anticipation.

      Re: Sky+ Subscription imminent scrapping

I doubt it will happen now. What with Virgin Media looking less attractive by the day why would Sky need to drop thier prices? They are getting the customers anyway.

Virgin Media have lost basic primary channels, their best internet package is 10MB which costs an arm and a leg...no I think Sky might of been worried a few month's back when the launch of VM was kicking in but it's been one of the most dissapointing re-brands in history. I thought VM would make more noise than this by undercutting and offering superspeed BB.

I hope Sky do drop the + charge as I'm a TV customer who wants + but I cannot see it myself.
