FUP on MAX - Revised figures?

This is a discussion on FUP on MAX - Revised figures? within the Sky news and announcements forums, part of the SkyUser Announcements category; I would have assumed that is classed as part of it....

Well common sense would say they would , however as far as I have seen they do not exclude any time traffic, even though for connect users it has the potential of making you exceed your monthly band width very rapidly.

I am still kicking SKY's butt about the DRM 'Kontiki' hidden away in that app, As the manner in which it is installed is a borderline rootkit as well as violating Kontiki's License agreement.

Since the Sony Rootkit class actions. DRM companies have got a little bit more careful how they enter your PC. Two of the things that the more legit ones now insist upon is that the end user is notified of the installation of the DRM and that a full uninstaller is included.

SKY have been rather negligent on both those parts.

If you uninstall their application, Kontiki stays on the system as does the background P2P transfers.

Don't get me wrong, anytime is a good idea, but it really needs some work before its ready for the public.

I'm a bit late & I'd hope you will already have something installed by now but you might try "ISP monitor". Includes a speedtest app' which I found very helpful during my early days with Sky. I used to use it but as I d/l very little I've uninstalled it now. Just do a search if you are interested.
