I don't think it will be today, but not far off.

Anyone fancy a bet that this thread will be longer than Newsreaders migration epic?

Hopefully Sky are watching this site as well. As an 80-a-month broadband and satellite customer, I'm sure I wouldn't be on my own in chucking it all in if I thought I was going to be short-changed by the company!

You know if this 5 a month Connect thing goes ahead and Sky get an influx of subscribers, you have to wonder if they'll become a victim of their own success. Too many customers and not enough staff is going to make a bad combination which will lead to many unhappy customers in the long term. I suppose it might not happen like that though, maybe Sky will grow bigger and will become the unrivalled provider of telecommunications services in Britain.

Re: Sky Broadband Connect at 5 a month ??

I've just had a thought: I'm sure I paid 40 as a connection fee, I see it is 20 now. I don't suppose Sky will refund those of us that are already on Connect and have paid the 40.

Re: Sky Broadband Connect at 5 a month ??

The reason I left Pipex was because they were still charging me 27-a-month for a 2mb service when they were offering new customers a better deal at half that price. Customer loyalty seems to count for nothing these days.

Re: Sky Broadband Connect at 5 a month ??

This has got to be a wind up !!!!!!!. 3 months ago i paid a 40 connection fee and 17 a month since for a service which is severely restricted if you use p2p or newsgroups etc ( a fact which sky keeps quiet until they have you in their grasp ). This is apparently done to maintain a reasonable service for all. If this offer is for real then the huge number off people who will subscribe will surely make it even worse. I for one will be cancelling everything sky (tv, phone, broadband) and stopping my direct debit - they can take me to court - I didnt sign up for this!!!!!!!!
      they are taking the
      regards
      dave
