It looks like Sky are going for the kill on every other ISP now, however to be fair to all its existing customers, they should reduce those who are paying 17.00 per month.

My main concern is getting stuck on Connect when my exchange is unbundled in February (allegedly). However it would be in SKYs interest to move me more quickly rather than keep me on Connect @5PPM.

Would have done, but didn't get an answer before they closed, will ring them tomorrow from work so I don't have to pay for holding on an 0870 number (don't tell my boss)!

Re: Sky Broadband Connect at 5 a month ??

I've been in touch with Sky Broadband and the sales operative I spoke to assured me that there is no such offer. As far as he was concerned new customers were still being sold Sky Connect at the original 17-a-month asking price.

Re: Sky Broadband Connect at 5 a month ??

      Ooh I have been moved

If this offer is starting tomorrow then you would have thought that their staff would be informed of it, as the bloke I spoke to this afternoon was adiment that Sky would not send emails out offering the Connect package at 5 a month.

I can see there reasons for doing this because for some people, and I am one, might be stuck on the Connect package for quite a while as it looks like my local exchange is not going to be upgraded for quite a while according to the Sky Broadband site, and while I do not mind paying 17 compared to the 30 I used to it really is not right when some people are paying 5 or 10 from the off when other are paying more for a service which is more or less the same, because of something that is beyond our control.
