The sky fibre unlimited has been 30 for sometime in Mysky.
But with the 1.01 fibre upgrade deal last few months (from the 0 'beckham deal' coming to and end for me and many) on the 7.50 (soon to be increased to 10) sky 'adsl' broadband unlimited and with the half price line rental deal sky have been offering for an age and that I took and just got renewed, that above is a 10 approx increase on last months deals as its full line rental and the 11.01.
My fibre activation was 10 (payable on credit card) and I got that refunded immediately and they sent out a sky q hub (so its not just for max) even though I already had one. Not sure why that is saying 48.95 activation fee, unless that is just for new customers.

Been with Sky since the days of analogue TV, always among the first group to upgrade. Now on Sky Q silver and fibre broadband with telephone.
Never had a penny discount in all that time.
Sky have never shown any gratitude for loyalty.

      Hi terryf,

It can pay to give Sky a friendly call to see what they can offer.

If you have a good case to reduce your monthly bill, for example you're considering removing Sky Cinema, then they may be helpful.

You do need to be prepared to get rid of things in order for this to work.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

It is ALL about new members and f.....forget existing ones.
Mind you Sky aren't the only ones, pretty much every commercial company is the same.

Not always true, I have been with my house insurer for ten years + and last year got a 40% bonus discount for being with them for 10 years and this year got another 15% loyalty bonus discount and so the insurance cost ended up even lower than the previous year, despite the underlying cost increasing. I did not even contact them for this, it was just an auto renewal on both occasions.
No need to change as their policy is tailored well to my liking, exactly what I need and has been very competitive and especially so with the last two years discounts. I have always been guaranteed a 10% loyalty renewal option with this, so getting 15% was good loyalty in my books.
Must admit though that car insurance seems to be the opposite, but then that's all brokered anyway.

As for sky, for offers check your email, look using my sky via the app or through your box and you will see loads of offers. The website my sky offers is a bit sparse often. But also check the sky.com front page, it has offers regularly, make sure you are signed in to see them as that gives you the existing customer ones, check the shop linked area from that page to see them.
Do make sure your marketing preferences in mysky are set correctly on mysky or you will not see the offers.
Just ask on live chat or phone the retentions team and you will easily get 35-40% off your tv without even trying that hard. The first thing mentioned by sky and I remember that last year too when I rang for my yearly renewal was loyalty as I have been with sky since they started and they know that upfront.

Go to https://secure.sky.com/cancel/tv and choose the too expensive option.... you should then get a deal without phoning.
