      * That's always assuming that whatever scheme they come up provides any sort of "loyalty benefits" that are worth having of course.

Re: Sky to offer a customer loyalty programme

I'm interested to see where this is all going to be honest.

I recently completed a survey which was specifically regarding the recently released "sky VIP" section of the My Sky app (iOS for me, not sure about android, windows etc.)

One of the specific questions was in relation to the service and what my opinion was regarding this, my answer was along the lines of "This service needs to be very appealing and very quickly, as to date a free (equivalent 13.99) sky store purchase for the second highest tier was hardly rewarding 15 years of custom"

I appreciate that it is a very basic way of looking at things but that isn't rewarding in my opinion.

No "sky VIP" section for me in my iOS app, so that's marked my card! I know my place...

Re: Sky to offer a customer loyalty programme

      Hello speedyrite
I would not be too disappointed regarding Sky VIP I am not even able to get the
new App as My poor Old Samsung S3 appears to be So ' Old' that it's not compatible
IOS is out of date ?? ( but it's Bloody Good Phone) & I like it.
I don't think from what I understand Sky's rewards scheme will amount to a lot for
Me anyway but I live in Hope.............

From My point of view a film / DVD from the Sky Store is not a great reward for
nearly 20yrs subscription but I could be Wrong many people may enjoy a free film.
I would prefer a No Claims type reduction of some sort based on years with supplier.

Re: Sky to offer a customer loyalty programme

I was a sky subscriber (full package) right from the start of the analogue days up to just under 2 years ago and I never got anything from them for loyalty.
So, I dumped them and am saving loads of money.

      Hello dog-man
I think you probably made the right call & I am sure you have found something
else to spend the extra Money on........!!!.
I never took the Sport or Film packs
Overpriced in My view. Only family now box sets ? but I enjoy all the Discovery
and Nat Geo channels so that's why I continue to Pay Up every Month.
I have received a discount for My New fibre BB for 18mths & I have Talk Shield
for the Last three weeks which is a godsend So One should be grateful for small
      miracles.......

The iOS Sky app is complete and utter pants now. It's worse now than it ever was. That pointless chat thing needs to go as well. 5 hours it took for someone at Sky to respond the other day only to just get a stupid response.

Re: Sky to offer a customer loyalty programme

      Hello All
As I stated in My previous post the New troublesome Sky App is not compatible
with My S3 So I can only note what other users comments are I still have access
to the original Apps , Sky + & Sky Service and I find they give Me all the info I require.
As with most Apps I try from time to time I generally delete them after a few days anyway.

      Just a Thought...............

The movie offer is a one off incentive for joining VIP loyalty.
There will be a lot more offers depending on your years of service.
Its expected to be launched to all from the later this summer.

Most apps going forward will have KitKat as their lowest supported Android platform, now. So might be worth looking to upgrade.
