Sky today announced an impressive roll call of award-winning actors, writers and producers in its most ambitious slate of original productions yet, adding to its growing portfolio of high-quality drama.

Responding to demand from customers for more original drama, the new productions combine with Sky’s ground-breaking HBO and Showtime partnerships, to build on its growing reputation as one of the world’s best storytellers.

The six new originals have been penned by writers including Academy Award® winners John Ridley (American Crime, 12 Years a Slave) and Neil Jordan (The Crying Game), and BAFTA award winner Rowan Joffe (28 Days Later), and feature all-star casts including Golden Globe® winner Idris Elba and Primetime Emmy® nominee Julia Stiles; Dawn French and Tim Roth, both BAFTA nominees; Christina Hendricks and Ricky Tomlinson.

The new series build on a successful year for Sky original drama, which includes the recent BAFTA nominations for The Last Panthers and The Enfield Haunting, and recording-breaking audiences for Sky 1’s Stan Lee’s Lucky Man.

Made by award-winning producers including Kudos (Broadchurch, Humans, The Tunnel); Fifty Fathoms (Fortitude) and Carnival Films (Downton Abbey, Stan Lee’s Lucky Man), the original productions are expected to air across 2016/2017:
