May the Force be with the channel-hopper as Sky Movies launch Star Wars themed remotes to celebrate the movie collection

      https://corporate.sky.com/media-cent...vie-collection

To celebrate the Star Wars™ movie collection coming to Sky Movies, the home of the latest blockbusters and classic films, fans can watch in style with a Star Wars branded remote control.

The Star Wars branded remote controls are available in ten iconic characters including: Darth Vader, Storm Troopers, R2-D2, C-3PO, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo. Customers can use their Star Wars branded remote control to find their favourite movie from the iconic collection to watch on demand or via the dedicated Star Wars channel.

Customers can also use their remote to tune in to watch the exclusive programming available on Sky Movies. Sky Movies will also host a live programme from the premiere of the new film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which will be released in UK cinemas on 17 December.

Sky Movies Star Wars will be available on channel 304 from the 11 December until the 3 January. The Star Wars movie collection will be available to watch on demand, via Sky Go, so customers can enjoy them wherever and whenever. They will also be available to watch for NOW TV customers with the Sky Movies Month Pass.

Ian Lewis, Director of Sky Movies, said: “After the recent success of Sky Movies Harry Potter, we are excited to bring our next big activity - Sky Movies Star Wars to our customers in time for Christmas. Families can settle down over the festive period to watch one of the greatest movie franchises and one that has touched generations of fans whenever they want.”

The remotes are available to purchase from sky.com/accessories for £24.99 each, the perfect accessory for any Star Wars fan as they make the unforgettable journey to a galaxy far, far away this Christmas.

That is a fiver markup just for a sticker, how naff.
      Wonder what version they are.
Asda had genuine sky hd ver9 remotes a few weeks back for £5.

See also the star wars digital movie collection full boxsets have got expensive, in preparation for the new movie.
Glad I bought it on google play a while ago when they were almost giving it away. It's now £59 I see.

Re: Sky launches Star Wars themed remotes

Sky have been charging the same price for remotes with Football Club themes for some time, so not really much different.

As they are brand new, I would expect them to be Rev.10 ASDA must have been clearing out some old stock.

I bought the Star Wars Complete Saga box set (Blu-ray edition) some time back now. The price did drop to around £25 at one point, but rapidly went back up. I can't recall what I paid in the end but I was upset that it wasn't the £25 price. Amazon has what I believe is the same set (different packaging) for £50 at the moment.

Then the sun bleached them. Or the blu-tac would be all weird you'd be picking away for ages.

For the same price you can buy a Harmony 350 remote which will operate the Sky box, plus much more. I got this one when it was on special offer for under £20. Its not a fancy as those costing ten time as much, but does the job equally as well,
