I, probably, had Sky before you were even born or at least British Satellite Broadcasting which became B Sky B or Sky. I had it for over 20 years and then it became just a whole bunch of repeats and extremely badly produced programs. I can get all that on Freeserve and Freesat and You Tube etc. It's still a whole pile of complete and utter junk on those providers but at least I do not have to pay Sky huge sums of my hard earned to watch it. Oh and I do use Sky Broadband which, in case you hadn't noticed, is also part of this forum. Sky broadband, as far as I am concerned, is about as good as it gets. I only said "Sky broadband was as good as it gets." It isn't fault free by any means but compared to the others it is the best of the rest of the rubbish out there.

I hadn't noticed you had Sky broadband.
It still seems odd to me that a thread on the new TV guide should trigger such an anti-Sky diatribe from someone who hasn't got Sky TV.

Well there you go. If that is all you can find "odd" on this forum or any other forum you really are not looking hard enough. As I have said, and you have conveniently chosen to ignore, I had Sky from the word go. It got way way too expensive for the type of television that Sky was/is broadcasting. I can get all that junk from the free suppliers for free. When this forum started it was more to do with Sky broadband, which I have also had from it's inception, rather than Sky broadcasting. I have had no problems with Sky broadband until they introduced the Fast router and then the SR101 and SR102 which really are not fit for purpose. To my mind Sky have increased subscription and broadband charges whilst decreasing the quality or their television and the equipment for their broadband.

I think you just want an argument and I, to be honest, now cannot be bothered either with you or an argument. To which end I will not participate in this thread any more.

I don't think the rollout is done by geographic area, more likely by ranges of viewing card numbers or STB serial numbers.

I reckon it will take a month or three to rollout to several million boxes in batches of a few tens of thousands a night!

The batches get larger as time passes and Sky's confidence grows that the roll out isn't going to inundate their call centres with a deluge of complaints about equipment problems.

Yes I suppose it would. Never bothers me how long it takes them to distribute it though!

Why ? The purpose of the forum is to allow current users to give their experiences, past users to give theirs, and potential users somewhere to get information.
