Darts without tops? Surely that would detrimentally affect the aerodynamics of the projectile? They'll just go straight on the floor. I can't see that being very popular.

Replacing the crown jewels with some tat from Ratners should decrease the price, not increase it.

But I have been subscribing to Sky Sports continuously since 1992 and shall probably continue to do so.

Watching all those big guys without their TV Shirts on would upset the advertisers and many of the female viewers

Re: Sky TV Price rise June 2015

      Hello All
I think its about time that the customers should be heard : but Sky bigwigs seem to
be very quiet about the excess price increase : first the reason for the 3.00 on the
Family Pack is because less people are likely to downgrade : were they to increase the
sports pack by that amount more would just drop the sports or movies pack !!
Although I can afford the 3.00 as I am quite lucky to be Mortgage Free I still have
increased council tax / water bill x2 etc just the same as many others.
I suppose I could look at VM with the amount of offers I get every week !! but most
people I know with VM cannot wait to ' Off Load' them ASAP........
So I suppose I will ' Bite the Bullet' like many others & pay up ....

or look at Freeview........... Just a Thought

When my discounted rate ends, unless they give me another one then I am off to Freesat again.
I can get all I like to view via the Internet.

Sky is ridiculously overpriced now so I won't pay the full amount ever again.

Re: Sky TV Price rise June 2015

Compared to when Sky first launched there is far far more variety of channels available without any special subscriptions.

Not only does Freeview have something like 100+ channels, there is also the Internet with several free services.

Of course Sky TV does come with a premium. The difficulty has always been what is the cut-off price. We each have a different threshold here though.

I can clearly remember when Sky launched and they publicly stated that they would never charge for viewing any of their channels.

      Lying barstewards!

      That was very late 80's.

It appears that early reports of automatic loyalty discounts may turn out to be quite widespread soon.

A relative had reason to phone sky today & the agent casually mentioned that they will have a loyalty discount applied to their account from 1st may of 2.50.
That means that the 3 increase for the family bundle subscription will really only be 50p for them.

They've been with sky for just over 6 years with just the equivalent of the family bundle & never had any other offer or discount.
