Postman just delivered a letter from sky:

The connection fee for the majority of non-inclusive calls - 15p > 15.9p.
      Non-inclusive calls to UK landlines - 8.9ppm > 9.5ppm.
      UK mobiles - 12ppm > 12.7ppm at all times.

Not sure what to make of this statement:
The good news is that our broadband and call plan subscription charges are staying the same - they have now been frozen for more than four years.

I am guessing the 'call plan' refers to Sky Talk Unlimited, Sky Talk Unlimited UK and Sky Talk Unlimited International as these all seem to be remaining at 5 per month.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

      This is an expensive feature.
      Anonymous Caller Reject
Reject calls from people who withhold their number
      4.00 per month

Just don't answer them would be your best bet if you are not expecting a call, and what about all the scam international ones.

Unfortunately there are many out there who have had the misfortune to be harassed by such callers. Simply not answering the phone can mean that it just rings and rings, preventing legitimate callers from getting through. Also these 'nasty' callers who like to hide their numbers also tend to leave messages on ansaphones.

There are legitimate sources whose numbers are normally withheld. They can usually use a method to call with their number showing when specifically required.

It's anytime not unlimited so there may be usage limits and Sky Talk Anytime International is 10 per month.

But that was my point, just stopping anonymous caller will not stop them.
Often these ppi types and 'nasties' do use legitimate numbers and international which is not stopped by this 4 anonymous caller reject offering.

Many legit services use no number, like skype and viber calls depending on how they are serviced. I often use no number when calling orgs so as not to reveal my number when they do not need to know.
Best bet is to use TPS, that has reduced mine to almost nil, had some in the past but not for many months now and to be very selective who you give your number out too.

Very cheeky, Sky adverts on TV today say line rental now 16.40 and their website now quotes this. So much for 1st December or have I been asleep for 2 months and it is Christmas in 24days!

Be interesting what offer I now get on 12th November or has that date passed?

      Happy New Year!

I hope that you haven't too much of a hangover after that binge. Wow you really did drink a lot.

I assume that voicemail has to be subscribed to, and as I have not, I don't need to do anything?

I never have and have my own answer machine.
