My smart tv has this "function" too, unfortunately it only works if you leave the tv on and it only works on one channel at a time.
      It's pretty high-end for a tv to have a dual-tuner function on freeview/freesat.
Given the warranty on tv's, the additional costs and costs for separate PVR's the 10 per month is not too bad for a few years in comparison.

Re: Sky Broadband UK Warns of Forthcoming TV Bundle Price Hike

Just took the plunge a fortnight ago and replaced an old Sky+ HD box with a Sagemcom Freesat HD PVR bought off the shelf in Tesco. Humax is always quoted as being a good make but I liked the price and so far I haven't had any cause for complaint.

It hadn't bothered me that I wasn't able to record on my Sky box until about three months ago when my old Freeview PVR finally gave up the ghost. I would have replaced it sooner but my TV died shortly afterwards so replacing that took priority.

Same here. I rang Sky up yesterday to cancel my TV subscription and straight away they offered to reduce the price of my current subscription by 33% and freeze that price for the next 5 years. So I took it!!

Hmmm, unless I am mistaken, a number of posts have been removed from this thread!

Could some one please PM me the contact details for the 'winback' team?

I did have them, but have mislaid them.

I think you must be mistaken. There are no posts showing as being deleted from this thread in my Mod panel.

They must be elsewhere in this forum then and I am confused.

      I am easily confused, sadly!

I did several searches this morning and didn't find what I was looking for.
After reading the above, I did one search and found what I was looking for!

I think I am going senile!

Re: Sky Broadband UK Warns of Forthcoming TV Bundle Price Hike

That's the annoying thing. I (or someone else) could ring up Sky, hoping for the same deal only to be told 'if you want to cancel, fine'. Very uneven treatment by Sky, and gets peoples backs up even more.
