I can't believe how much money I have wasted on sly TV over the years.

During the first week after cancelling, I was sorely tempted every day to phone and cancel my cancellation, but I stayed strong and refused to give in.

I am looking forward to not having sly anymore. There are so many rubbish channels and so many rubbish shows made for morons and chavs.

I wish I had done it years ago.

And as a customer subjected to the price freeze in september 2011, i'm still paying 3.50 less than anyone who signed up for the same package after that + i've still got the F1 channel.

I also seem to have at least one 'voicemail plus' feature for free but guess that's another story.

After that line you better not go back or you'd might be admitting something.

But seriously there is lots of content which is quite high brow which is paid for by that mass market crap.

Re: Sky Broadband UK Warns of Forthcoming TV Bundle Price Hike

I shall ring sky Monday or Tuesday and see if they will give me a 50% discount on my old TV package.

Assuming they say no, then can I ask if I am correct that 31 days notice is required to cancel the phone and fibre service?

If they say, no, then out of principle, I am off to another provider!

Not that sky fibre has given me any problems!

The phone service has on a few occasions!

I assume the best way of leaving sky fibre and the phone service is to just sign up with a new provider and let them do what is necessary?

Re: Sky Broadband UK Warns of Forthcoming TV Bundle Price Hike

If I stop subscribing to Sky but still keep my box and card what channels will I be able to receive?

Also will I still be able to record programmes using the box?

      Thanks

Thanks. Can I also record programmes using the Digi Box?

      Unfortunately not.
Or playback programmes already stored on it.

With no other type of tv subscription, a 'sky+' subscription at 10 is required for all the '+' features.

Shame. Not too much of an issue as my Smart TV has a built in PVR so I can record programmes to a USB stick.
