First look: Sky gives glimpse into its new EPG

This is a discussion on First look: Sky gives glimpse into its new EPG within the Sky news and announcements forums, part of the SkyUser Announcements category; I was very cynical on my post above but I like the new EPG, it's much better than I expected ...

I was very cynical on my post above but I like the new EPG, it's much better than I expected and definite step forward.

OK so how do you exit it? (yes I know - push the sky button.)

Pushing backup takes you through an endless loop.
If you accidentally push backup once too many times your taken back to the damn thing.
      PITA.

I like the new series feature though and the search that shows all episodes of a series and allows you to quickly download them from on demand.

Yes it is true. If you press <backup> it will now take you in an infinite loop.

Most people would realise this and stop once they are back to 'Live TV'.

The alternative, as you point out, is to press the <Sky> button.

Actually I'd forgotten about that recursive ability. Absolutely hate it! But it's been there a long, long time.

My understanding is that the automated roll-out continues. It's the availability on the DR stream that has been postponed.

Same as always then: a frustrating wait, an unknown timescale.
