The Hour is still missing from iPlayer and Children In Need hasn't been added yet either.

You're right, I looked earlier. Other than passing it on to the content team, there isn't a great deal more which can be done at this stage.

There is however a section for Children in Need with several shorter shows included. I suspect that they don't want to have the 3 hour shows included as they might be heavy on the bandwidth. Since there was also local content, they would have to include all the different regional variations. However it is all available on my TV's app.

There are several within the beta group passing on this information though, so we hope it will improve.

They've had Children In Need to download on iPlayer for the last few years and I see it has been added. Only The Hour is still missing. I'm impressed that CIN is there and takes up less space than if recorded live from the channel.

      Really enjoying using this service.

It looks like Day Of The Dead should be on the iPlayer as they're using a picture from the film on the films category box. But it's still not there.

      Which one?

Day of the Dead (1985) and Day of the Dead (2008) are both available on the Movie Library from Sky. SD only for both movies and they will cost 1.99 to rent.

I just checked on my TV's BBC iPlayer app and it is there (SD only).

I guess that the BBC can show the film, but Sky has the rights to it on their STB.

Re: BBC iPlayer comes to Sky+

I love BBC iPlayer on Sky. It pretty much is perfect. Scubbie explained why some films aren't there and it makes sense. If they're on Sky for hire they won't turn up on iPlayer apart from the web version. Can any smart TV owners say whether or not that is the same for iPlayer on that platform?

But I bloomin' well love it I do! The only problem is I need a Sky+ box with more memory to fully accommodate it but I'm looking into that. Roll on 4OD!

Re: BBC iPlayer comes to Sky+

My TV & HT both have the BBC iPlayer app and during the trial I was always comparing the two.

Essentially the content available to my TV & HT apps was complete. The HD content was in 5.1 surround sound, where as for the Sky content the HD is normally not in surround sound.

Picture quality was good for all the BBC iPlayer content.
