Give it time, it doesn't happen as soon as it turns midnight.

This press release seems to think it does as it came out this morning. No iPlayer on my box yet. Phased rollout perhaps?

      It is LIVE now!

I checked earlier, like the others, but it appears to have gone live around 9am.

      Enjoy!

There are loads of buttons and categories. There is regional content, sport, signed, music, food, stuff for children, documentaries, HD and SD content. Some content is also available through searching the On Demand section too.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps

      Opps!

In the light of what tomorrow is, perhaps I should have said something like the bloke in this clip:

Re: BBC iPlayer on Sky Catch Up - As From 30th October

It's looking pretty neat. I've just downloaded last nights Top Gear James Bond Special in HD (as forgot it was on) and looks sweet!

Noticed there's not a section for BBC1 HD content (just BBC HD). From a post over on DS, there's an easy way to find BBC1 HD Content, which is useful.

There's a way to get only HD content up for BBC One. Once you've gone into the BBC One section and selected a day you'll see three colour options at the bottom. If you select Channels you'll get an option screen. Select BBC One HD and you'll get only the HD content for that day.

I don't want to play mr grumpy with it just having gone live but i think it's a shame there isn't an 'all' tab there.
I always prefer to search for a specific show by entering the first few letters.
I just find it quicker, especially if i'm not sure of it's genre category.

Still, it's pretty good, with loads of content.
The BBC don't mess about do they. *cough* itv *cough*

Re: BBC iPlayer on Sky Catch Up - As From 30th October

A good spot there. The <Green> Channels option is available in each of the CUTV and On Demand sections, but not in each individual buttoned section. In the Sky sections it allows you to select 'Sky 1' where you will get both Sky 1 (SD) and Sky 1 HD.

There are some discrepancies which have already been raised and, I trust, forwarded on to the BBC in this instance. For example last night's 'EastEnders' is available in both SD and HD formats, but 'Have I got a bit more News' is only available in SD.

Also in the last week of Beta testing, some episodes weren't available, but others were. If you search over the past week these issues may still be present. Now it is live, I expect the content to be added in a more reliable fashion.

If anyone spots anything else, let us know.

I'm not surprised about 'Have I got a bit more News For You'.

Although it's normally in HD, for some reason the live broadcast on BBC1HD was in SD.
