Re: Sky Line Rental Increases For Existing Customers From December?

One other thing to watch for possibly (which I repeat from a previous post in March so the figures may be a little bit out of date):

"Be aware that the small print of Sky Upfront Line Rental (SULR) states "Not available in conjunction with any other Sky offer".

What I have found in reality is that having SULR has meant no other offers have been available during the period that SULR has been in force on my account.

So, I would suggest weighing up the current monthly saving of 2.30 (annual equivalent 27.60) of taking SULR against the potential value of what you might save if you can get another Sky offer instead. For instance, if you could get the HD pack free for 6 months, that would save you 60!

(Maybe get that other offer first and then get SULR the next day, if that's possible?)

SULR is currently equivalent to 9.95 per month vs. the Sky Line Rental normal price of 12.25 per month, giving an annual saving of 27.60 - or more if the normal price of Sky Line Rental increases during your SULR period."

I hope this doesn't mean it'll remove my existing 50% off for a year offer :S

I signed up for it today on the 08442 442 411 818 number. Paid by card and was told to re-apply next September to continue it.

I wonder if they will let you leave without penalty if you have ADSL/Fibre broadband within a 12 month contract?

As I have only recently had Fibre installed I would be surprised but if they do (and it turns out they have withdrawn the upfront line rental offer or it effects other discounts), I might threaten to move the lot to PlusNet just to see what they say.

I would say it would not. But it might mean that you won't get another offer when it ends whilst you are enjoying the "discount" from paying 12 months line rental upfront.

Also worth noting, that 08432 16 17 18 is supposed to be free (it says so all over the new my sky pages) but is currently being charged Now have to try and battle with Sky to make them 0 cost the 1.38 of calls showing on my bill.
