I just have a feeling that while they're letting us all pay 119.40 (eventually), come billing date we might just find nothing has changed with our billing,
It is already shown in my bill, first pic shows last months payment, ie, 75 basic. Second shows next month - 75 -12.25 = 62.75.

I know this link was posted a few days ago but there are some new replies to it now. Seems someone got in contact with Sky's exec team and got an answer
      As I said earlier, A & E problem.

Hmmm.. Mine isn't showing :/ It shows the payment i've made (119.40) on my bill, but my monthly cost with offers is the same price as my standard bill.

Re: Sky Line Rental Increases For Existing Customers From December?

GRAH. Spoke to Sky's live chat team. Remember i've already been sold it, but it hasn't been applied to my account but the payment has, and now they say:

Ok Liam, it seems that there has been some mis-information given to you. The payment was taken correctly, however to be eligible for the discounted yearly charge it has to be done at the point of sale. It can not be added retrospectively.

It seems that even if you've called and paid - you might not actually have it!

      Edit: Further information here:

I see, there seems to have been little clarification on this matter. I have just had a chat with my manager, he has explained to me that to get the 12 months up front payment deal, it either has to be done at point of sale, or once a customer has finished a 12 month contract. The reason being that by taking out the deal you enter into a new 12 month contract. But when you made to payment your were only 2 months into your contract.... in taking the payment all it has done has put a credit on your account of 119.40, and not had any effect on the price of the Line Rental.

Edit 2: He's refunding me the money paid... Ugh.

Re: Sky Line Rental Increases For Existing Customers From December?

I remember that when I took out Sky rental a couple of years ago I was offered the option of paying 12 months up front, but turned it down at the time. I can see their point, you agree to 12 months at the agreed rate so you can't then go along and get the rate reduced. Not too good for you, but it seems they are within their rights to turn you down.

This might explain why some are being told they can get it and others that they can't.

Oh, absolutely.. Except they probably should have told me this before I paid them.. Not to mention the fact I could just leave until the change of contract terms, and then pay the 12 months!

That's a possible solution, but to get new terms you might have to leave for at least 12 months.

Yeh, to be frank I don't care that much. It's not like 2.25 a month is going to bankrupt me. I just don't like going around the houses!

Re: Sky Line Rental Increases For Existing Customers From December?

Well i just checked my online bill the 119.40 was showing but they had taken this months bill which is not due till the 17th oct out of it i have just spoken with them it seems the person who took the money had not done it right so the money was showing as a credit for the whole account not for the line rental. So they have credited the amount that was left back to my card she then tried to take the payment but the system kept throwing up an error so it has now been passed up yo account analysis team and they should call me back within two days
