Re: Let The New EPG Rollout Begin

Ok all my HD boxes now have the new EPG.

Few other bugs I noticed while browsing through the catch up menu:

Sky box hung while trying to access SKY catch up 'channel'

I have also noticed that older recording have some serious lip sync issues

Ie. The wife was watching Glee, Yes, 'WIFE' and there was 1-2 seconds delay.

I will check other recordings later.

I would REALLY like to be able to share the viewings between boxes and from an external PC via steaming! I often work away from home and love the dial in idea

Anywhere I can sign up to get more info as it happens?

How is your sound being heard? There can be issues with some channels and lip sync when using the digital audio outputs to a surround sound system.

Could I ask that people post any issues with the most recent firmware n this thread please: Firmware update R005.053.70.04P: Any issues?

Re: Let The New EPG Rollout Begin

      Hi all
I have being trying to "update" my epg but it would seem with no luck at present as i keep ending up with the one below which is the same one that i started to try and update 2 days ago. I have a samsung hd box that i had installed in June 2010. Model no R003.047.2900P version No 9730B3 with an EPG 47.0.16.1
Having read most of the posts in this thread am i correct in saying that i have quite an old version on ?If so will that mean that i may not be able to get the new version just yet /at all ? Seem to remember reading something about the Samsung boxes last week but can not find the info again .sorry.
      Any help/info much appreciated
      Thanks!

The update for the Samsung is still in Beta testing and not in general release yet. Only the 2 latest Amstrad boxes, 890 and 895, have been released. The Samsung update will be coming 'soon' along with the older Amstrad and Pace.

It is probably there. In the Planner press the left arrow (<) key it is to the left of All on the Menu, not visible on the first screen.

Re: Let The New EPG Rollout Begin

If you have received the new update, it should be there. Try putting your box into Standby, then power off for a couple of minutes, power on again, give it a few minutes to warm up then press Sky. It may then appear.
