As an update to this, it seems the crash happens when any ondemand / anytime+ channel doesnt have content listed for it. As it also crashed with another channel.

First time it shut down the whole box

2nd time I left it and it did eventually (10 mins later) say no content for this channel.

worked fine after but would still crash on a channel with no content

Re: Let The New EPG Rollout Begin

Could you let me know which channels please? Sky Atlantic most certainly should of had some content last night and you should get a message such as shown below when there is nothing available:

Let The New EPG Rollout Begin-no-programmes-available.jpg

I have just gone through all the channels in the library and found all of them had some content.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

I had the same problem as you have had but I think it may be down to not having full update .I have two Amstrad one DRX895 and one Amstrad DRX895c.on the one that messing up the anytime+ is still showing but should show on-demand button. So on the box with full update master box go into Sky Atlantic it's fine with loads of programs to download and watch. But with the box Amstrad DRX895,Roo4.049.22.00p with only part update go into Sky Atlantic and the box crashers with nothing showing in the box I did do a force update on this box.

Amstrad DRX895c, R005.053.70.05P,4f3151 has most of the new features including the undelete feature.

Apart from the Anytime Icon changing to On demand I noticed in the planner when you scroll across the top as in All, Recorded and Viewed there is new Title called Delete and when you select that it shows programs you that I have deleted and gives you the option to restore or Permanently delete them.

You cannot get it doing a forced update, that is reserved for those that are being updated and it fails etc so it can be rolled back, only once everyone has the new update will the download stream be updated.

The updated EPG is being rolled out by Sky as we speak, apart from the Samsung and Pace and some older Amstrad boxes, which will take place over the next couple of months.

Re: Let The New EPG Rollout Begin

Sky insiders are suggesting it will take over the download stream from tomorrow for DRX890/5. I guess this indicates roll-out pretty much complete for those boxes?

Re: Let The New EPG Rollout Begin

      This is good.

53.70.05P has been fairly stable with only a few minor issues, which have mostly been fixed now as they relate to the On Demand section.

Of course if there are any issues, please post them in the thread linked below:

      Firmware update R005.053.70.04P: Any issues?

I know it was written for 53.70.04, but please use it for any later versions too for the DRX890 and DRX895 STBs.

Re: Let The New EPG Rollout Begin

Personally I would guess that 1st October would be a good choice but I have no information to confirm this.

1st October is a Monday and there are quite a few other changes being rolled out around the same time, such as the Bond Movie channel (Sky Movies 007) which I am guessing will temporarily replace Sky Showcase as this is the channel they normally rename for Christmas.
