      There is also the cost of all the flood damage to be recouped. BTO may have it covered by an Insurance policy, but then this policy will be going up after the claims made earlier this year.

      Ultimately this may be a sensible reason why Sky has had to raise their prices. TalkTalk raised their Line Rental to 14.50 earlier this year.

      If that was the case, wouldn't it be fairer to put that extra charge on to their fibre products, rather than charging evey BT customer?

      You don't get any income for fibre customers until after the work has been done.
