Sky Anytime+ to be rebranded as On Demand?

Further to the news about the SR101 Hub this week, a few interesting observations can be made.

The first clue is this picture taken from the manual for the SR101 manual.

As you can see, the URL is sky.com/tvondemand which currently diverts to sky.com/products/ways-to-watch/anytime-plus/index.html

However, as noted in the original thread, if you were to use the URL sky.com/tvondemand1 then that brings up an error 404 page, which more or less proves that the URL sky.com/tvondemand is a genuine URL which is being masked / redirected for the present time.

Another thread started tonight, Register now for Catch Up TV gives an early sign up page along with some details about the new service, called Catch Up TV - If you wish to register for this, the direct URL is Catch Up TV | Sky Products

Further down that page there is a nice image of the EPG from Sky, which is obviously a newer version than the current one on mine or your STB clearly showing the changes from 'Anytime+' to 'On Demand' along with the 'Showcase' tab being changed to 'Catch Up'

So on face value, it appears that Anytime+ is to rebranded to On Demand, sometime in the future with the inclusion of an extra feature called Catch Up TV

Which also fits in nicely with the release of the new SR101 Hub rumoured to be September.

Always thought Anytime+ was a poor choice of name. Sky branding is often very clumsy IMO, take for example "Sky By Broadband", "Broadband Everyday Lite" etc

"So here's the thing with this one, OK" - I think they may have consulted Siobhan Sharpe (Head of Brand) at Perfect Curve PR to come up with those!
