One of the questions in the survey that I completed was something like "How interested would you be in being able to download Sky Go content to your device to watch offline?" and ditto for a 5 monthly fee.

Very and not very were my answers!

I would also love to be a fly on the wall at Sky Towers product planning meetings. (I'd need to lose a few pounds first of course...)

Personally i would love to sit down and chat with someone over various improvements that could be made. For example the Sky Go app on the computer allows you to download content, but the app on my phone doesn't. I have sufficient memory on my phone to download a few movies, so why not allow it to download a couple of movies from my home WiFi and allow me to watch them whilst on the move?

For anyone who has a limited data allowance or if you are travelling through the tunnels, it would mean great uninterrupted coverage.

The next thing is that the Laptop doesn't allow you to view live content, unless you navigate to Sky's website. Why not just embed it into the application?
Couldn't agree more Scubbie - as per another post the amount of data seems beyond many of our phone Internet allowances for a direct feed, but yes, what an excellent idea about downloading onto a micro card or whatever.

      Cheers

Re: Sky Go To Allow More Devices?

I use SKY GO a lot, I also use the download to desktop service which is brilliant.

I surf the movie store, click download to device and run the software & DL all the movies. I can then watch these whenever for up to 30 days.

Sure, more devices would be great but I wouldn't pay more for it.

What's betting that if/when they add HD channels to Sky Go, it will only be available as part of the 'extra' package.

This will be available on the Sky Go Extra service when it launches soon. You will be able to download the content onto the actual device i.e iPad, selected android devices and watch it away from home, for instance on a train, without requiring an Internet connection.

Thanks for this, but personally I don't want to pay the extra 5 for it.

I can understand that and wouldn't want to pay the extra 5 myself. I believe that if you have a Multiroom subscription you should be given the extra two devices free of charge.

However for someone who does not subscribe to Sky TV and only has a Sky Go subscription, perhaps this may be better suited to them.
