It has to be your choice. Provided that you aren't into downloading Torrents, don't mind the reduced speeds during the evening and weekend, are happy with the BT India Call Centres and the 18 month contract, then no problem.

Sorry, I'm not a fan of BT myself.

...and I haven't even gone into their history with Phorm .

really not a fan of them either even though I used to work for them on 150.

don't torrent (to home anyway), and really despise their Indian call centres (as well as Sky's useless level 1 broadband support).

will try and talk to someone who knows how to tie their shoelace and give me a date.

Re: Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro about to be launched?

      Finally fibre has become available!

Only problem is they now want to charge me 50 installation when I was told it would be free

      On hold for cancellations now...

      **UPDATE**

They're refusing to waive the 50 installation charge - REMOVED - could have had BT in months ago if the cow I spoke to on 23rd May hadn't lied to me when I specifically asked about installation costs!

Now do waste a substantial sum of on installation or get free install and a cheaper (if not as good) service from BT?

410 total cost for the 1st 12 months with Sky against 239 (after 30 cashback & 25 voucher), for the 1st 12 months on BT.

I think the choice is pretty clear cut...

It was free to those lucky enough to get it early, others have had to pay.

Well that's not bloody fair! I would have been one of the early ones if Sky were taking orders for my exchange since fibre was enabled when I first called!

Thinking of ditching them altogether whilst the BT contract's running so i'll have a chance of getting the "new customer signup bonus" when transferring back (as long as installation fee's are nowt).

To be fair I do not think Sky ever stated installation would be anything other than 50. There was no free offer as such - it just never got added to our bill!

You could try ordering through Topcashback who are currently giving 50.50 for existing Sky customers taking fiber broadband!

Didn't even know there were such a thing.
I personally wouldn't consider what I'd posted as offensive.
I do however understand that others may have had a very sheltered upbringing and may be offended at suck frivolous things.

seriously not as big a deal as it's being made into - to me the above makes it clear that I respect others decisions - guess our minds are wired differently
