How strange because that is also the average Sky Broadband connection speed.

I was just reading about BBC IPlayer on Freesat - they just have a channel dedicated to it (901), I wondered why SKY can't make it that easy.

(Ethernet connection needed too of course)

Re: Sky Anytime+ Goes from Strength to Strength with More Content and Increased Reach

Do we think that the content from BBC iPlayer on Anytime + will be limited so that people still go direct to iplayer for the very latest stuff? It would be a shame if they only put very old stuff on...

We'll have to wait until it is launched, but I would hope that it is their entire library, or at least what is available to download from any other source.

The ITV Player is currently only old material. This was stated when it was launched and that newer content would be added in due course.

I don't think anyone knows for sure yet*. It may be a tab on the Anytime+ menu which takes you direct to iPlayer, or again, it may be a tab which takes you to iPlayer content but presented in the same way as other content on Anytime+. I can't imagine if it is being touted as iPlayer it would only have old content.

*I will qualify that by saying anyone outside the Anytime+ team or Sky TV in general.

I really like anytime+ - its made it worth the upgrade to HD for me.
I look forward to more content, at this rate I'll be needing a bigger drive.

Must admit I love it too. Don't use it load but have downloaded series from it that I'd missed.

Of course it is only as good as you tv package and ISP and broadband package, but you get what you pay for.

Really looking forward to iplayer and it can be only good news that it's being rolled out to other ISPs.

Re: Sky Anytime+ Goes from Strength to Strength with More Content and Increased Reach

ITV Player content hasn't really changed from the 20 or so old(ish) Titles that were launched on the Sky Box. Perhaps they are in "test mode" ?
