Glad Ted has made it, and in a strange way also glad Steve Rider has as well.

They should have poached Jake, Coulthard and Jordan though as well.

Jake was never going to go because of the Olympics. Shame really. Surprised David didn't move. I don't line Steve rider, but he's not presenting so that's good, he's just doing some spin off shows.

Steve Rider always seemed to be genuinely into it then, plus I always thought he was better at F1 then footy.

umm BBC or Sky Sports, who would I rather work for, who would pay the most?

Sky should have gotten the whole of the BBC team to present it on Sky, they had a great formula. And it was creating record viewing figures.

You know I did wonder if they would do a deal with the beeb and take all the staff and produce the whole shebang and provide the coverage back to the beeb.

Yep rider was useless at footy. I never liked it when Jim Rosenthal presented it.

I'm looking forward to the spin off shows.

They will be presenting from a studio tho as opposed to track so back to the old days. Bit disappointed by that.

Re: Sky Sports launches F1 channel

Jim Rosenthal was fine at F1 coverage, but he never semed genuinely into it for me.

Steve also, but then over the year or so you could see that he had a genuine interest.

Same again for Jake, he had the knowledge and asked some good questions.

I like the new lineup on Sky Sports, but will it have the same chemistry or the same gelling together.

I would predict that Brundle and Ted are going to be given the cold shoulder etc and not the same magic available.

Sky know best though, and we will never ever know if the BBC team were approached and then knocked back etc

Hopefully this will give them more chance to analyze things and get post incident comments etc, which should make it more interesting.

Shame Jake hasn't moved to sky for the F1 I liked his punditry. He seems a bright lad and I'm sure he'll continue to do a fine job when the Olympics start next year

I've seen today advertised on Sky that the new Formula 1TV channel launches on March 9th.
