I did used to think the same, but Sky News HD is probably one of the best examples of HD (the actual programs you view have different content to the SD version).

I flicked back to Sky News SD the other day and it was awful

Re: Rumour: Changes to Sky+HD Subscriptions from 1st October 2010

The new Tariff will be 61 a month for Sky World plus the Sky HD Pack,
for all HD channels and another 9 a month for the ESPN channels

      Wait for it!!

Total 70 a month for all of Sky channels

      These are optional Extras

      MUTV 6 a month
      Chelsea TV 6 a month
      Racing UK 20 a month
      Premiersports 6.99 a month

For Sky Anytime+ you will need a Sky Broadband Subscription as well,
      in a Sky Network area

Sky Broadband Unlimited 7.50 a month with Sky Talk
and 12.50 a month without Sky Talk

I hope all of this will help you

Does that mean you can get Anytime + without Sky Broadband in a non Sky Network area (where by definition you cannot get Sky Broadband, of course)?

you dont count the extras why pay for mutv and others when probably wont watch them or not support them my mothers cut down another package to fit her hd in now it only costs her around 90 a month including broadband and line rental or 89 but call it 90 then if i add my hd box on it will be 99 so still cheaper than bt in my opinion bt would be 26 or whatever it is for broadband then the price hike in line rental then there tv service which is a ripoff

Re: Rumour: Changes to Sky+HD Subscriptions from 1st October 2010

We had a phone call from Sky here yesterday.

We've been offered free engineer install, free box & 6months free HD sub. Can't complain with that installation next Friday
