I received the option to sign a new contract from June 1st by letter earlier this week.I am an unlimited customer enjoying the first 6 free months of a promotion and was expecting to pay 10 pm from July onwards. My broadband will only cost me 20 this year as I managed to get 25 Quidco.I'll be staying with Sky.

When we get moved over to unlimited in sept there will be no 12 months contract to follow so its just as we are apart from the 2.50 rise, touch wood the bb has been fine apart from a dodgy start, and 3 years on no regrets about changing from our old ISP.

Out of interest - will the older Netgear DG boxes cope with up to 20mbs?

There is a new router in the offing, although I have no idea if that is part of the spec.

All 3 of the Sky routers can handle ADSL2+, which allows a maximum download of 24mbps. The V1 router, dg834gt, is still available retail at many outlets. - NETGEAR DG834GT 108 Mbps Super G Wireless ADSL Router Wireless router - EN, Fast EN, IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g, 802.11 Super G

The V2 routers are not and never have been available from retail outlets, being specially built for Sky.

Routers have nothing to do with this topic, should be in router section

Maybe so, but the poster asked if the router would cope with the 20Mb speed, which is what this thread is about.
