No reason why not as long as your 12 month period is up, but don't forget you still have to pay for calls outside the free time. Depending on when you use your phone you could end up worse off.

Could it be that they are trying to lock people into new contracts so that they can cancel out the reduction you get on broadband with increases on sky tv packages in sept?

Re: Sky Launches New Up To 20Mb Broadband Product

The snag with that theory, if you don't have Sky Broadband, but you have Sky TV then you would still get the annual rise in September. That has always been the case.

I am surprised that Sky have reduced the price of BB on the Unlimited package, but I would guess that was in retaliation to all those that left for cheaper deals off other ISPs - There is no real competition from o2 now that Sky have made this move. So in effect an incentive for those that left Sky for o2 to go back to Sky.

The price rise is coming for the TV side of things, no way around it, but as long as it is not more than a couple of quid, I bet most people would accept it anyway.

      Cheers,

As we have just got 3 mobiles on three for skype between the muminlaw/wife & son in Uni then our bills will go down a lot. Hence we won't need the 5 sky talk service, so It seems I'll be 2.50 better off come September.

For us it will go from 10 [no sky talk] to 12.50 and then tv price rise on top in sept,so could be another 4 a month or so,that does not sound alot i know, but once the election is over i think a lot more of our money will be flying out the window to pay for others mistakes.

If you are currently on Unlimited, with no Sky Talk, then you should currently be paying 15 a month?

I think he/she is on Everyday at the moment, so is being forcibly upgraded to Unlimited.
