Thank you Simone, that helps clear up the main query. If you are on Unlimited at the moment, you can save 7.50 by signing up to a new 12 month contract. If you are on Everyday and don't benifit from a speed increase or extra allowance, you can save 7.50 by not signing up to a new 12 month contract.

Re: Sky Launches New Up To 20Mb Broadband Product

      I got this email today.

You've now reached 70% of your 10GB monthly usage allowance.
We're letting you know that you are getting closer to your usage allowance. If you go over your 10GB allowance once more before 1st June, we'll automatically move you to our Sky Broadband Unlimited at just 5 extra a month. If you go over your usage allowance within the 5 month period but after 1st June then we'll automatically move you to our Sky Broadband Unlimited package and it's new lower price of just 2.50 extra a month.
With Sky Broadband Unlimited you get truly unlimited usage, so you'll be free to use the internet as much as you like whenever you want with download speeds of up to 20Mb*.
But don't worry, if after a month on that package you find you're not using the higher allowance, you can move back down to the package with a lower usage allowance.

Which is strange because my usage for this month is only 4GB according to the Usage Tool. Mind you Aprils usage was supposedly 12GB and for 24 days of that period I was in Australia with all my computers turned off.

      Expensive calls, I meant.

Since then I've switched to 18185 and 1280 BT override for local/national and 08xx calls... much cheaper.

Only three days after getting an email saying I have reached 70% of my 10Gb allowance, I get a second email telling me that I have exceeded my 10Gb allowance and I have been moved to the unlimited broadband.
I can't check my allowance now because it has been removed; because I am unlimited and don't need it.
But when I check my emails from Sky I only have one from them for the 26.05.10.
As they tell me that I have exceeded 10Gb twice? Where are the other emails.
I know the broadband usage meter is wildly unreliable, because it had me using 12Gb last month when I was in Australia and all my computers switched off..??

Well its certainly an idea, but my connection is encrypted.
I sent an email to Sky to complain. I didn't expect a reply, but they did.
They tell me that I have been consistently exceeding 10GB since December 2009..??
They just didn't bother telling me.
