Surely couldn't be that much longer for Sky Fibre - though it's like watching pain dry waiting for it to happen. They probably would offer a limited package I guess to keep costs down but Fibre really does eat data - that I guarantee especially streaming services in a busy household! Unlimited would be idea and could see a 22 charge being introduced.

Carried out a speedtest today and got 43Mbps down and 8.3Mbps up - on an up to 40Mbps service!!!

When Sky do eventually get around to launching a Fibre product it will certainly be interesting.

BSkyB should be publishing their annual results either this or next week. That too will be interesting and an opportunity to mention any plans for the coming year.

It will be interesting to see how much the BB subscription numbers have risen since last year, for example.

I think sky is fearing a loss actually cause when they joined with that other company just recently they said it was because of losses or something.

Hopefully they should be reasonable as that would mean more investment for the future for the subscribers.

Unfortunately my fat fingers slipped and added another 11 months onto the announcement date. If they were expecting losses then the share price would collapse; the concern at the moment is the potential increase in the premiership league rights cost with the next auction on the horizon (and the likes of apple/google/al jazeera all reportedly interested), also the expectation that the average spend per subscriber will start dropping as the economic situation starts to bite.

Some good news about further product developments to drive growth in the subscriptions would help, such as launching fibre would be nice...

Hmmm... write 100 lines "must not write 12 when meaning to write 1".

That should help them get thinner, if nothing else.

Easily done though. Initially I thought that you'd meant 31-12-2011.

This would be good news and something that would finally get them moving forward once more with the technology.

This time last year we faced the launch of Sky Atlantic and the closure of Bravo & Virgin1. Living was renamed 'Sky Living' and with it went Living+2 & Living +3. At the moment Sky are pushing the new F1 channel, but nothing new since last September.
