Can i have a 5ms ping please rofl, thats a belter.

I have been looking and i dont think i need all the features of the posh router, i dont need 5GHz cos even on a bad day there is only 10 networks visible and they all battle for channel 1 and 6. I dont need gigabit and i dont need the sharing thingy via USB so i reckon ill just get WNR2000 for 40 quid, at least ill get full 300mbit n then

I had configured the router and already had a cable in place, so all he had to do was put on a new face plate, stick in the cables and presto!!

Probably was done within 20 minutes.

On another note, the engineer said the speed upgrade next year happens automatic, so it will be a free upgrade. Seeing the cabinet is within 300 meters from my house I'll be able to get almost double from what I have now. Happy days!!

My cab is 50m away but maybe 100m of cable line length so thats good to know. have you looked at what profile you are on cos if you are on the 17a profile your attainable rate will be showing what speeds you can really get.

As soon as i put my MAC in i went and sorted my cables out (nothing like being a bit premature rofl) so when my HH3 arrives next Friday ill get it ready like you did then, cheers for the info

I haven't looked at the profile........yet. Will do that first thing I get home. :-) One thing I notice though, my Samsung Galaxy has issues connecting wireless (have read more stories about this). It is set to b,g & n at the moment. I'll do some tests to see if setting it to g or n only makes a difference. Too bad I have to wait 10 days for the DLM to finish so I can install the other router.

you wouldn't think so, but the guy from BT says no.

Where can I find my profile, or is this only possible with an unlocked router?

In that case he does not deserve to work for BT. Ridiculous.

I thought you could just see it now but if you cant you have to fiddle with the modem mate so in that case i would leave well alone till the training is done and dusted.
