Hopefully a revised firmware will be released soon.
Tar mate, TBH if the HH3 works with my PS3s (as in an open NAT) then i probably wont use another router anyway.

For some reason my estimated upload speed has been revised from 10Mbit to 15Mbit.

Sky & BT told me I didn't need a MAC. So guess you don't either

That netgear router looks nice. I bought a Belkin play max N600 cheaply The reviews are somewhat 50/50, but I'll install DD-WRT firmware that will turn every router into a beast

      The install is coming Friday!

      I'll do before and after:

Re: Sky will be looking to run trials of fibre-optic broadband

That router's old now. This one was launched a little while ago:

      WNDR4500

For a list of the 300Mb/s WiFi routers available from Netgear, see here:

High Performance Wireless Routers From NETGEARŪ

As I mentioned earlier in this thread though, there are some issues with the current firmwares though. Check the Netgear forums before purchasing as the are working on them.

Also in order to benefit from either the 450Mb/s or 300Mb/s WiFi connection you do need a suitable WiFi adaptor for your computer. Many Laptops, for example, currently on sale only has adaptors that will support up to 150Mb/s on the 40MHz bandwidth (i.e. bonded channel). They also only work with the 2.4GHz channels, where the top end Netgear routers all now support both 2.4GHz & 5GHz channels.

With regards to the DGND3700, there is a planned firmware update due next month. This router is both an ADSL & cable router. It is expected that the update will fix most of the outstanding issues.

Yes it was launched a little while ago, but the specifications are much better then most routers that come to market now.

      600 Mb/s
      Dual simultaneous 2.4 & 5 GHz
      Gigabit lan ports
      2 USB ports
      Guest network
      DNLA
      Torrents
      QoS

Don't think I can ask, or need, more.

Re: Sky will be looking to run trials of fibre-optic broadband

      The comment was a joke

I do realise that it is a powerful router and that it is well above the standard of most routers for the home market.

Spec wise there is little difference between the WNDR3700 and the DGND3700. The main difference being the ADSL support with the DGND3700 and printer support for the WNDR3700.

Currently neither support IPv6, although Netgear is sorting this out.

In both cases a suitable WiFi adaptor will be required to make the most of the WiFi offered by these routers as most standard ones will not support the maximum.

However, once the 'niggles' get resolved I will be very very happy with my DGND3700.
